· The history of the Palm Garden Lodge

The Palm Garden Lodge was built by Winfried Kramer and his Thai family.

Winfried Kramer, his friends lovingly called him Winni, was living in Thailand together with Phailin for more than 30 years.

In the 70s, Winni owned an animal farm at Bangkok and later he moved to his wife's hometown - Ban Kon Khuang in the Prachin Buri Province.

In the mid-90s, the Palm Garden Lodge was built on the private ground of his wife.

In 1997, the construction of the Resort was finished, so that from that point of time there was a holiday resort in a part of Thailand where until then a tourist from the western world could hardly be seen.

For Winni, the Palmgalo was primarily his resting place, but he also used this place to invite friends or to present acceptable lodging to guests who wanted to spend their holidays near the Khao Yai National Park.

Unfortunately, Winni could enjoy his Palm Garden Lodge only for a few years - he died in 2002.

Nowadays, together with Winni's friends his family endeavours to run the Palm Garden Lodge just as Winni would have done...

... as a small Resort with a familiar atmosphere for individualists apart from the overcrowded tourist paths in the heart of Thailand near one of the country's most beautiful nature paradises - the Khao Yao National Park.
